7th Grade OWS Protest Videos

Branden Amina Xiana Ben Tommy.mp4

Pablo Wolfe's seventh grade classes started their study of the American Revolution by asking: Where do mass movements come from? What causes people to cohere as a group and call for change? We explored these questions by learning about the Occupy Wall Street movement through articles, videos and simulations and then by developing a list of grievances that may have motivated the protests. To explore our hypotheses we went down to Zuccotti Park armed with video cameras, i-phones, and still cameras and interviewed protestors about their personal reasons for being down there. In small groups the students then developed a Claim about what they believed most motivated OWS protestors and then used iMovie to edit together footage to support that claim.

Boys Varsity Basketball

The Boys Varsity HS Basketball team is in the midst of another great year going 11-1 with two games left to play.  Over the last two years the boys team have made the playoffs only to fall short once the playoff tournament began. This year their goal is to turn the corner and win it all.  Below the team huddles up during a game against NEST +M High School.  The Gentlemen Bulldogs went on to win the game 60-41.
