This year, students will be dismissed at 3:20 instead of 3:10. On Fridays, High School students will be dismissed at 2:40 while Middle School students will be dismissed at 3:20. The extra time allows us to shift our schedule and implement last period goal setting meetings and work periods in the Middle School and intervention, enrichment and exhibition support in the High school.


We will continue Thursday ‘early release’ this year. MS Students are dismissed at 2:00 this year & HS students will be dismissed for lunch at 1:20. Please think again about what you plan for your child to do on Thursday afternoons. Our Extended Day program will start at 2:00 on Thursdays and run until 6:00; it will continue to offer Community Service opportunities as well as other enriching classes.


The first day of school is Thursday, September 8th. Sixth grade parents are welcome to spend the first hour of school with their child. Please be reminded that all summer assignments are due on the first day of school and can be found on our website, www.sof.edu. Middle School students should bring lunch or lunch money on September 8th. High School students will have out-lunch permission on the 8th and 9th, but it will be reviewed when all paperwork is due on the 12th. Finally, please find supply lists attached.
