Please note the following:
1.
School of the Future High School no longer has priority for District 2 (D2) or Manhattan. All students in the city who apply for 9th grade will be equally considered.
2. 9th grade applications were accepted on a rolling basis until March 1st at 11:59 pm EST.  We will begin contacting you regarding interviews on a rolling basis between February 12th and March 8th. Please see the admissions tab for more information.

Senior Institute Students Compete in Moody’s Mega Math Challenge 2015

On March 1st at SOF, Senior Institute students used their math and science skills to participate in a nationwide 12-hour competition sponsored by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.

They had to create a mathematical model to evaluate education choices to address the question “STEM Sells: What is higher education really worth?” They investigated how mathematical modeling can show the cost, return, and value of a college education. In the photo, from left to right, are team coach Ms. Thole, 11th graders Sheila Chiu, Kelvin Ayala, and Anastasia Krasilnikova, 10th grader Max Friedman, and 11th grader Mariam Steinblatt.
