Announcements

Monthly announcements for EA After [email protected] for Middle School:

April 29, 2015

On Thursday, June 4, when SOF is closed for the day, the After School Program will be going to the Bronx Zoo and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Bronx Zoo day will include a Total Experience pass and unlimited access to special rides and attractions available that day. The Metropolitan Museum of Art day will include tours through many of the most popular galleries and time to play in Central Park.

Both trips are open to students currently attending After [email protected] classes or SOF Middle School students who have completed a COMPASS Form. We need family members to volunteer as chaperones so please consider making this a family event. Both trips will start at SOF at 8:00 am for breakfast and end at SOF between 5:30 and 6:00 pm.  Students will need to wear comfortable sneakers and bring a MetroCard with at least two fares on it, lunch, sunscreen, a hat, a water bottle, and money for a snack. If you think it will rain, bring a poncho and small umbrella.

We have space reserved for 100 students at the zoo, 50 students at the museum, and a total of 22 chaperones. Please return your permission slip, signed by a parent/guardian, along with your payment as soon as possible. Choice of destination is on a first come, first served basis and this activity will likely sell out. Pick up permission slips from After School check in or send questions and requests for permission slips to [email protected].
