School of the Future currently has ten teams that compete in the Public School Athletic League (PSAL), including boys and girls varsity basketball, boys junior varsity basketball, boys and girls varsity soccer, boys and girls varsity volleyball, boys varsity baseball, girls varsity softball, and girls varsity handball. Our teams compete against schools from all five boroughs, and routinely beat some of the biggest schools in the city! Every year our school celebrates division championships and playoffs with exciting pep rallies, making athletics an integral part of the SOF community.

Our Girls Varsity Basketball team competes in amazing gymnasiums throughout the city- such as Chelsea Piers, Basketball City, and Baruch College! Here, Coach Felix Shen gives the team some inspirational pregame instruction.

School of the Future boasts a fantastic Middle School sports program, offering an array of team and individual sports in which students can participate. The program is a perfect way to introduce and expose the students to a variety of different activities. Here, the students have the opportunity to explore their interests and discover which sports they thoroughly enjoy. They also compete against other Middle Schools, often making it into district playoffs. Students can then hone their skills in the sport(s) of their choice as they move into the highly competitive High School level.

The Middle School program includes:

Girls: Soccer, Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Table Tennis, Track, Flag Football, and Softball
Boys: Soccer, Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Table Tennis, Track, Flag Football, and Baseball
