SOF HOME

Congratulations to the Seniors on their college acceptances!  This year's seniors were accepted into such prestigious colleges as Northwestern, Oberlin, UPenn, Middlebury, Columbia, Temple, George Washington, Goucher, Bard and Ithaca to name just a few.  In the coming weeks we will post the final list when all acceptances are in.  Well done Seniors SOF is so very proud of all of you!

  • Lauren and Christian with the Consulate General of Haiti 10th graders Lauren and Christian went to the Haitian Consulate to conduct interviews for their exhibition on NGOs in Haiti. In the picture they are standing with the Consulate General. This is  a nice reminder of the opportunities that students at SOF have with exhibitions that don't exist with the regents exam in Global History.

    cohere as a group and call for change? We explored these questions by learning about the Occupy Wall Street movement through articles, videos and simulations and then by developing a list of grievances that may have motivated the protests.

  • Beat-it
    Beat-It is a music production course in which the students get an opportunity to compose, record, edit, and mix original music using the Garageband music editing program. The Elective class meets four times a week for one semester (5 months), while the Enrichment class meets a mere 3 times a week for half a semester.
