SOF Parent Association Committees - Many Ways to Get Involved
Different levels of PA involvement make it possible for busy parents and guardians to play a role in their child’s education. You can chair a committee, take part in our fundraising outreach, or spend a morning helping at a bake sale or on photo day. It all matters.

Which committee should I join?
Here’s a quick guide to see how you might plug yourself in to what we’re doing:
Writers: Communications and Fundraising will put your skills to excellent use!
Graphic Designers: Help make SOF special events, rooftop garden, and school store look fabulous!
Tech folks: Our Fundraising and Communications committees need your help with managing data, developing our social media policy, and website updates.
Outreach extroverts: Your flair for talking to people and/or sending engaging emails can make our Fundraising committee’s fall and spring fundraising outreach resounding successes! You can also be one of our Grade Reps, who organize grade-wide social events—a tremendous service for your child’s class. Once you have done this, you might move on to a leadership role on the Executive Board.
Super organized: You could be our Volunteer Coordinator, who reaches out to find and coordinate volunteers for SOF and PA events.
Can’t commit?: There are plenty of one-offs you can do, including updating one of our Family Directories in Excel and being on site for a few hours to help with a special event.
Oh, and we always need photos of the varied experiences our students have. Please share your shots of students, faculty, events with [email protected]. Thanks for being an extra pair of eyes and on-the-ground photographer for us!
